50 Years of Ski Tradition on the ski slopes in Reith

On September 22, 1965, the company Otto Dalnodar, Skiliftbau in Kundl, started on the farm in Reith and on the so-called “Veitl” of the Keilhuberbauern with the construction of the new circular lift. The ski lift was also completed in the ski season 1965/66 and officially opened on December 20th.

The circular lift in Reith with the valley station on the Reitherwirtsfeld had an hourly capacity of 600 persons. 45 double T-bar lifts enabled this performance. The construction costs amounted to 36,300 Euros. The joy of the new lift in Reith was huge – with a length of 700 meters and an elevation of 93 meters, it offered ski guests pure skiing pleasure until 1972.

In 1973, the lift was torn down and completely rebuilt on a new projected route, and so today it still carries numerous skiers every day, perfecting their skiing skills on the legendary Reith
